What is the Role of the Artist in Society ?

Artists have that unique ability to engage individuals in a very deep and personal way. Art can help us understand our humanity and the historical conditions we live in, but importantly draw us into…Continue

I am an Art enthusiastic, and for the last couple of years have been actively trying to find out the best possible means of supporting the work of Artists and through their work create vibrant and creative communities each with its own distinct culture and tradition but yet always learning from the diversity of the other.

In recent months, I have been looking at the use of social media to simplify ways in which  Artists & Creative thinkers can collaborate,  that will help them, tap into new ideas  so we can constantly seek improved solutions to progress our own local communities forward through Creative Thinking and The Arts.

However I also believe that the work of the Artist must be supported through funding of their activities,
promotion of their events and providing advanced methods of collaboration if our cities are to evolve into more vibrant and creative communities.

Impressionism was a 19th-century art movement that originated with a group of Paris-based artists whose independent exhibitions brought them to prominence during the 1870s and 1880s.

Impressionist Art originated from the idea that painter's job is to produce a convincing image of reality and that the true sensation of experiencing the effects of light, colour and realism could only be captured in the open air(En plein air) rather than from the dull surroundings…

A brief history of Mural Painting

The word mural originates from the Latin word murus or "wall." Thus, mural art refers to any form of visual expression created on a wall. Mural art is a longstanding public art form that has expressed religious and political beliefs within societies.

A lot of what we learn about ancient civilizations in archaeology has to do with the murals of that culture.…

Thank you so much. I am very happy to have been invited here. What a great concept. It is always great to get feedback from other people in the arts. As an artist, I always see every little flaw in my work and so, never really get a real vision of it. One really only can see their work when they view it through someone elses eyes. Thank you for being my eyes and seeing my work in its entirety and not just brushstroke by brushstroke (as I see it)
